An area of low pressure along the Mid-Atlantic coast will ride along a stalled boundary and bring rain and some thunderstorms throughout the day today. Additionally, a cold front will push through later this evening into tonight, bringing another chance for showers and storms. High pressure tracks in from the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys early next week which leads to a cool down with less humidity. Generally looking at around a quarter to half an inch of precipitation throughout this event for areas west of the Blue Ridge. Areas to the east could see closer to an inch, perhaps even higher in heavier bands of rain and storms. Monday and Tuesday could be the driest days in terms of RH that we have seen in quite some time. Valley locations, as well as the VA Piedmont could even drop well into the 30s. Current forecast shows higher values at this time, but may need to adjust as confidence grows. Winds will be gusting out of the NW around 15 to 20 mph each afternoon.
