NORTHWESTERN HOWARD AND CENTRAL MONTGOMERY COUNTIES IN CENTRAL
MARYLAND...SOUTHEASTERN FREDERICK COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MARYLAND
AND CENTRAL LOUDOUN COUNTIES IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...

At 233 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Green Valley to near Damascus to Poolesville to near
Leesburg, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to 
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage 
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed 
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured 
         light objects may become projectiles.

Locations impacted include...
Germantown, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Leesburg, Olney, Damascus,
Poolesville, Montgomery Village, North Potomac, Redland, Boyds, Green
Valley, Clarksburg, Darnestown, Derwood, Washington Grove, Hamilton,
Monrovia, Laytonsville, and Barnesville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
