A front will lift north across the waters this morning ending any leftover shower or thunderstorm threat across the area. Winds will quickly become SW'rly across all waters by mid morning and then increase through the day today with seas also building in kind as a thermal trough sets up today. This will result in Small Craft Advisory conditions across our coastal waters and Pamlico Sound. Gradients briefly relax early Friday but then tighten again Friday afternoon through evening with Small Craft Advisory conditions expected to redevelop south of Oregon Inlet. A backdoor cold front will push through the waters Sunday with NE winds developing into early next week.
