S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM...

At 505 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Ar255, or near
Ocracoke Inlet, moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Ar250, Ar255, and Ocracoke Inlet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
