...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 60 NM...
Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM...

At 320 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 16 nm southeast of Monitor
Marine Sanctuary to 53 nm southeast of 14 Buoy, moving east at 25
knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
