* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 60 NM...
  Waters from Oregon Inlet to Cape Hatteras NC from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 500 PM EDT.

* At 359 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 20 nm east of
  Diamond Shoals to 49 nm southeast of Monitor Marine Sanctuary,
  moving north at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
