...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HYDE AND
SOUTHEASTERN DARE COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 321 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 9 miles west of Avon, or 9 miles north of Frisco,
moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Frisco, Avon, Buxton, Hatteras Ferry Terminal, Avon Pier, and Cape
Hatteras Lighthouse.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
