High pressure north of the area shifts east as a cold front moves through the Southeast U.S. and eventually across the area Saturday. Relatively light and variable winds this morning will become onshore around 5-10 mph along the coast as the sea breeze forms and moves inland. Winds then become north-northeast Saturday becoming breezy to windy into the afternoon behind the passing front. Sustained winds are forecast to increase to 15-20 mph inland and up to 20-25 mph along the coast, with gusts up to 30-35 mph. Breezy to windy conditions then persist through late weekend into early next week. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are forecast to develop this afternoon and evening.
