Light rain showers will move through the area this morning with dry weather expected for the early afternoon. South-southeast winds this morning will turn north between 1100 and 1200 EDT as a lake breeze develops. Overall winds fall below 15 kts across the entire lake today; wave heights will be decreasing through the day despite the wind shift to the north. An isolated shower cannot be ruled out by late afternoon but the chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase this evening and into the overnight hours. A few of the storms could be severe with large hail and strong winds. There is also the potential for dense fog at times (40% chance this afternoon, 80% tonight), particulary with the wind shift to the north and tonight when rain becomes more widespread.
