  Beyond 5NM from shore...
  Lake Superior from Grand Marais MI to Whitefish Point MI 5NM off 
  shore to the US/Canadian border...
  Marquette to Munising MI...
  Munising to Grand Marais MI...

At 515 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 16 nm
northeast of Granite Island to Grand Island, moving northeast at 60
knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners could see gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor 
immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
