...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern Stevens
and northwestern Spokane Counties through 1245 AM PDT...

At 1217 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles northwest of Suncrest, or 25 miles northwest of Spokane, moving
north at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Springdale, Ford, Tum Tum, Valley, and Loon Lake.

This includes U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 190
and 204.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
