A cooler and wetter pattern will remain over the area through Thursday with daily shower and thunderstorm chances across the mountains and adjacent plains, with the focus for showers and thunderstorms shifting eastward into a greater portion of the southeast plains for Thursday. A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the southeast plains on Thursday. The best chance for wetting rains through the period will be across northern portions of the area where rainfall totals of around 0.50 will be possible. Temperatures will gradually warm this weekend into early next week with isolated to scattered thunderstorm chances continuing each day, particularly over the mountains. A pocket of poor dispersions will persist through the day across the Pikes Peak region, Fremont county and the I-25 corridor on Wednesday. Otherwise afternoon dispersions will rise into the good category across the southeast plains, and very good to excellent range across the mountains and valleys.
