* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Chatham County in central North Carolina...
  Durham County in central North Carolina...
  Southeastern Orange County in central North Carolina...
  Northwestern Wake County in central North Carolina...

* Until 1015 PM EDT.

* At 722 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have 
  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in 
  the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, RDU International, 
  Apex, Morrisville, Parkwood, Bethesda, Research Triangle, 
  Carpenter, Gorman, William B Umstead State Park, Jordan Lake, Eno 
  River State Park, Rollingview Marina, Falls Lake, Falls Lake State 
  Rec Area and Fearrington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
