Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms over portions of the region this afternoon should diminish during the evening with the loss of heating, although the potential will exist late tonight for the redevelopment of isolated showers and thunderstorms over portions of Northeast Texas, extreme Southern Arkansas, and North Louisiana near a weak upper level disturbance that will linger over the area. Daytime heating Wednesday should contribute to additional isolated to scattered thunderstorm development through the day across the region, with min RH's expected to range from 45-55%. This upper level disturbance will begin to drift east out of the region Wednesday night, resulting in hotter and drier conditions areawide Thursday and Friday. Min RH's should also be lower as a result, ranging from 40-50%. While the potential for isolated showers and thunderstorms will return to portions of the area Saturday, more in the way of scattered development is expected Sunday through early next week, as a weakness aloft will develop over the area beneath a large amplifying upper ridge that will build into the Plains and Midwest. Thus, the heat should taper back slightly while an increase in afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are expected.
