Hot and dry conditions will continue this afternoon with minimum relative humidity values around 25 percent and some passing high clouds and isolated to scattered fair weather cumulus clouds. 20ft winds to be light and variable through sunset, however with an approaching cool frontal boundary this evening and overnight. transport winds are likely to shift from NW this afternoon and become E between sunset and midnight, where higher winds near 15 mph may be experienced during the shift. Confidence in rain and thunderstorm chances are low; an isolated pop-up thunderstorm cannot be ruled out through sunset, however, with a more aggressive and organized thunderstorm complex pushing across central and eastern AR later this evening, there may exist the potential for isolated to scattered thunderstorms during this time period and into Sunday morning. Overall rain amounts will be less than 1 inch and will be brief. Lightning and wind will be the primary threat, where winds could become temporarily strong, gusty, and erratic. Thunderstorm chances currently appear less probable on Sunday, with another hot and dry day with min RH values between 30 and 35 percent, light surface winds, and another shift in transport winds in the early afternoon from SE to W/NW. .REST OF TODAY...
