  - Elevated Fire Weather Conditions today within the Burney 
    Basin due to low RH and breezy westerly winds. 

  - Dry and with seasonable high temperatures through the 
    weekend.

.DISCUSSION...

Upper level trough continues to dig into the Pacific Northwest 
and Northwestern California through late today. Satellite imagery
shows mostly clear skies this afternoon, with some clouds along
and east of the Sierra Crest. Temperatures are seasonable today,
with highs in the 90s in the Valley, and into the 80s in the 
foothills and mountains. 

As the trough moves east through the region, breezy conditions are
expected at times within the northeastern foothills and into the
Burney Basin. Highest chance to see up to 30kt gusts will be 
within the Burney Basin. This combined with already low RH values 
in the teens to lower 20s creates Elevated Fire Weather Conditions
today. While winds will be calmer on Sunday, relative humidity
will still be very low. 

Breezy onshore flow will be likely within the Delta and will help 
to cool temperatures during the late afternoon, evening and 
overnight hours in the Delta and adjacent portions of the Valley.
Otherwise, as we move past the weekend and into next week the 
pattern aloft looks to remain in place helping to keep seasonal 
conditions with dry weather at this time.

.AVIATION...
VFR conditions prevail through the TAF period, with mostly sunny 
conditions. Winds will be light for each of the sites, sustained 
at 5-10kts. A few breezy gusts to 15kts within the Delta area this
evening. Otherwise, dry conditions and light winds during the 
morning hours tomorrow.
