...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MADISON AND CENTRAL
GALLATIN COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM MDT...

At 442 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 17 miles south of Bozeman to 18 miles southeast
of Ennis to 18 miles northwest of Henrys Lake. Movement was east at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Big Sky and Yellowstone Village.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
south central and southwestern Montana.
