This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

	AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.

DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions are expected across eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas today. Afternoon heat index values in the 100
to 110 degree range are forecast, with the higher values across 
northeast Oklahoma into west central Arkansas. A Heat Advisory is 
in effect from through 8 PM for most of eastern Oklahoma and also 
west central Arkansas. Take precautions while outdoors today. 

A slight chance of storms continues this afternoon for any storm 
redevelopment, with additional low storm chances tonight from a 
weakening storm complex approaching from the northwest. A limited
severe potential will exist with any activity this afternoon as
increasing instability and shear are noted over the region.
Damaging downburst wind gusts will be the primary concern with any
stronger storm.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Low storm chances remain across parts of northeast Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas during the day Friday. Chances then increase 
Friday night through the weekend over eastern Oklahoma and 
northwest Arkansas from a disturbance moving over the central
Plains. Limited severe potentials along with a heavy rain threat
exist Friday into the weekend. Majority of the shower and storm 
chances begin to move out of the region early next week. However,
a slight chance of storms remains into the middle part next week 
ahead of a ridge of high pressure building over western and 
central United States.

Hot and humid conditions also continue Friday and Saturday with
heat index values of upper 90s to around 108 degrees. More closer
to seasonal averages temperatures are forecast Sunday into early 
next week from a weak front moving through, though heat index 
values could still approach or exceed 100 degrees at times for 
parts of the region.
