The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Northeast Colorado
  Extreme northwest Kansas
  Extreme southwest Nebraska

* Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 815 PM
  until 100 AM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph possible
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Initial supercells in the southwest Nebraska Panhandle
will tend to grow upscale into a cluster while moving
south-southeastward across northeast Colorado and adjacent areas of
Kansas/Nebraska.  Isolated very large hail up to 2.5 inches in
diameter will be possible prior to upscale growth, while the threat
for severe outflow gusts of 60-75 mph will increase some once
clustering occurs.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles east and west of a line from 60 miles north northeast
of Akron CO to 10 miles southeast of Burlington CO. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
