GENERAL SITUATION: A mid to upper level disturbance continues to
stream moisture over the Bahama Islands, enhancing showers and
possible thunderstorm activity through tonight.
Meanwhile, high pressure ridging generates moderate to locally fresh
easterly
winds over the nation.

OUTLOOK: The mid to upper level disturbance will linger and meander
over The
Bahamas for the work week. This feature is expected to continue
streaming
moisture over the country resulting in bouts of showers, possible
thunderstorm
activity over portions of the islands. Localized flood in low lying
and flood prone
areas is possible.

SPECIAL WEATHER NOTES: Rip Currents: There remains a moderate risk of
rip currents for Atlantic waters across all areas. Beachgoers and
swimmers are urged to continue to exercise
caution.
Flooding Risk: There is a marginal to moderate risk of flooding in
low lying and
flood prone areas during heavy or prolonged rainfall periods. Areas
already
inundated have a moderate risk.
Tidal Coastal Flooding: Due to the Super New Moon, there is a
marginal risk of
tidal flooding along shorelines during the evening high tide hours
persisting into
Tuesday.
