GENERAL SITUATION: Deep layered troughing is supporting scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout our archipelago through tomorrow. Meanwhile a broad area of high pressure is generating moderate to fresh winds across the islands. OUTLOOK: The mid to upper level disturbance will meander near The Bahamas for the work week. This feature is expected to continue streaming moisture over the country resulting in bouts of showers, possible thunderstorm activity over portions of the islands. Localized flood in low lying and flood prone areas is possible. SPECIAL WEATHER NOTES: RIP CURRENTS: There remains a moderate risk of rip currents for Atlantic waters across all areas. Beachgoers and swimmers are urged to continue to exercise caution. FLOODING RISK: There is a moderate risk of flooding in low lying and flood prone areas during heavy or prolonged rainfall periods, particularly across portions of the Northwest, Central & Southeast Bahamas. TIDAL COASTAL FLOODING: Due to the Super New Moon, there is a marginal risk of tidal flooding along shorelines during the evening high tide hours persisting into Tuesday.
