A COASTAL INUNDATION ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR SOUTHERN COASTAL
AREAS OF MAMANUCA GROUP, SOUTHERN COASTAL PARTS VITILEVU [FROM MOMI
THROUGH TO SIGATOKA-KOROLEVU-PACIFIC HARBOUR UPTO  SUVA], SOUTHERN
COASTAL AREAS OF BEQA, VATULELE, KADAVU, LOMAIVITI AND LAU GROUPS.  

Situation: A weak trough of low pressure with cloud and showers is
approaching the Fiji group from the west and expected to affect the
group till later tomorrow [Thursday]. Meanwhile, a low pressure
system to the far southwest of Fiji is generating and directing
moderate to heavy southwesterly swells towards Fiji waters which is
expected to cause coastal sea flooding over southern coastal areas of
Fiji especially during high tide till later Thursday.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
For Southern Coastal areas of Mamanuca group, Southern Coastal parts
Viti Levu [from Momi through to Sigatoka-Korolevu-Pacific Harbour
upto  Suva], Southern Coastal areas of Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu,
Lomaiviti and Lau groups:
Expect Sea Flooding of Coastal areas during high tides.
Today: 
Partly cloudy with brief showers over southwestern parts of Viti Levu
 [from Momi through Sigatoka-Navua upto Suva], Mamanuca group, Kadavu
and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and Lau group. 
Mainly fine elsewhere. 
Cool nights.
Tomorrow: 
Some showers over the southern parts of Vanua Levu [Wailevu,
Savusavu, Natewa and Buca Bay areas],   
Partly cloudy with brief showers over southwestern parts of Viti Levu
 [from Momi through Sigatoka-Navua upto Suva], Mamanuca group, Kadavu
and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and Lau group.
