WARNING FOR LAND AREAS NO WARNING. SITUATION A trough lies over Tongatapu, ʻEua, and the Haʻapai groups, bringing cloudy periods, occasional rain, and strong winds to these areas today and tomorrow. The trough is expected to move eastward and away from the groups by tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, north to northwest winds will continue to prevail across most parts of Tonga. FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA FOR THE NIUAS AND VAVA'U: Light and variable winds, becoming moderate south to southwest winds tomorrow morning. Partly cloudy with brief overnight showers becomes frequent tomorrow morning over the Niuas, possibly heavy at times with risk of isolated thunderstorm.
