WARNING FOR LAND AREAS


A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAIN IN FORCE FOR ALL OF TONGA LAND AREAS.



SITUATION


A weak trough lies over Tongatapu, 'Eua and Ha'apai, bringing cloudy 
conditions
with scattered showers across these areas today. Meanwhile, a ridge o
f high
pressure extends onto the south of the group from the far southwest, 
directing
cool, fresh to strong southeasterly winds across Tonga.

FOR THE NIUAS:
Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, strong at times.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with few showers.

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate southeasterly winds, becoming fresh to strong at ti
mes.
Mostly cloudy with a possible scattered showers. Cooler air temperatu
re at
night times especially Tongatapu and 'Eua.
