Key Messages... - A Fire Weather Watch remains in place for the lower Kobuk Wednesday. We are monitoring conditions this Tuesday afternoon to see if we can fine tune where the highest thunderstorm activity will be; a strong westerly sea breeze along the coast Wednesday is likely the limiting factor on storm potential. - Temperatures will begin to trend cooler, with higher min RH, for the lower Yukon Wednesday. Hot and dry likely continues for the Kobuk Valley. Temperatures and cooler RH expected to infiltrate further north through the end of the week. - West to southwest winds become more organized across the western zones, with coastal fires near Norton Sound, Seward Peninsula, to Kotzebue Sound seeing 10 to 20 mph sustained winds by Wednesday evening into Thursday.
