Key Messages... - A low pressure system in the Southern Bering Sea will continue to bring multiple rounds of precipitation to the Western Interior and West Coast this week. Accumulations are expected to remain fairly light with the highest accumulations expected in southwest Alaska and where thunderstorms are present. - Isolated thunderstorm development is possible this afternoon across the central portions of the Western Interior. Lightning chances diminish on Wednesday and Thursday with a very slight chance for new thunderstorm development this weekend. - Winds will begin to strengthen from the south-southeast across the region today, with wind gusts up to 35 mph possible in the Western Interior Valleys.
