Large surf heights up to 11 feet can be expected along west and south facing reefs at least through 4 PM Thursday. As Bavi continues to pull away and the leading monsoon surge weakens, swells and associated surf will continue to diminish. Even so, surf will remain elevated enough to continue to produce high risk of rip currents along south, west, and north facing reefs the next few days, while dropping to moderate along north reefs Thursday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. && $$
