DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Super Typhoon Bavi was
located near Latitude 16.9 degrees North and Longitude 134.7 
degrees East. Bavi is moving west at 14 mph. Bavi is expected
to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a slight
decrease in forward speed through Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 150 mph. Bavi is forecast to
maintain this intensity through tonight.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
105 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 310 miles to the north and up to 265 miles to the
south.
