DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Typhoon Saudel was located
near Latitude 20.7 degrees North and Longitude 143.0 degrees East.
Saudel is moving northwest at 17 mph. It is expected to turn slightly
toward the west-northwest with little change in forward speed through
Monday. This forecast track will take Saudel through open ocean.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 130 mph. Saudel is
forecast to maintain this intensity through tonight.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 45 miles.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
160 miles.
