Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
Trade winds will begin to strengthen in response to Tropical 
Storm Moke passing south of the islands this weekend. A Small 
Craft Advisory (SCA) has been issued through this afternoon for 
the eastern two thirds of the coastal waters. The SCA has been 
expanded to include all nearshore waters from tonight through 
Sunday afternoon. Stronger winds and Moke generated wind wave 
swell may push significant seas to near 10 feet within Big 
Island's eastern waters this weekend.

.TODAY...East winds 25 to 30 knots. Seas 5 to 8 feet. Wave
Detail: East 6 feet at 7 seconds, southeast 3 feet at 11 seconds
and west northwest 3 feet at 16 seconds. Scattered showers. 
.TONIGHT...Around Kauai, east winds to 20 knots. Elsewhere, east 
northeast winds 25 to 30 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet, up to 10 feet 
south of Big Island. Wave Detail: East 7 feet at 8 seconds, 
southeast 3 feet at 11 seconds and west northwest 3 feet at 15 
seconds. Occasional showers. 
.SUNDAY...East northeast winds 25 to 30 knots. Seas 7 to 9 feet,
higher south of Big Island and Alenuihaha Channel. Wave Detail: 
East 9 feet at 8 seconds and southeast 3 feet at 11 seconds. 
Occasional heavy showers. 
.SUNDAY NIGHT...East northeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas 6 to
8 feet. Wave Detail: East 8 feet at 8 seconds and southeast
3 feet at 11 seconds. Scattered showers. 
.MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 6 to 8
feet. Scattered showers.
