...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE 
ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Kauai in Kauai County.

* WHEN...Until 315 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1215 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over north and
    west Kauai. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per
    hour with the heaviest rain near Wainiha. Additional moderate
    to locally heavy showers are expected through the afternoon.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kekaha, Princeville, Kilauea, Alakai Swamp Trails, Kokee
    State Park, Na Pali State Park, Wainiha, Haena, North Fork
    Wailua Trails, Waimea, Hanalei, Polihale, Mana, Barking
    Sands, Waimea Canyon State Park and Kalihiwai.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.
