...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON 
FOR THE ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The Kona Districts on the island of Hawaii in Hawaii 
  County.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 311 PM HST, radar indicated moderate to occasionally heavy
    rain over the Kona Districts. Rain was falling at a rate of
    0.5 to 1.5 inches per hour. Rainfall rates have come down
    some since the initial issuance of this advisory.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kailua-Kona, Captain Cook, Honalo, Kainaliu, Kealakekua,
    Holualoa, Kahaluu-Keauhou, Honaunau, Kalaoa, Puuanahulu,
    Pohakuloa Training Area, Kona International Airport, Milolii
    and Hawaii Volcanoes Park Kahuku Unit.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.

persists.
